Vehicle stopped, stolen good seized: London police

Two London men are charged after police spotted a stolen vehicle in transporting stolen goods near the city’s western edge.

It was about 1:30 p.m. Wednesday when London police say officers located a vehicle bearing licence plates stolen from another vehicle in the area of Westdel Bourne and Oxford Street West.

The driver and a male passenger were arrested on several outstanding warrants after the vehicle was stopped, police said. The vehicle was reported stolen on Monday, two days prior, and the plates were taken from another vehicle, police said.

Police say they found items inside the vehicle that were reported stolen during a vehicle break-in on Tuesday.

The two men are charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000. One of the men also faces charges of possession of stolen property under $5,000, driving while prohibited, resisting arrest and failing to comply with a release order.
